Student Excellence Awards
Awarded to one CASLPA student member in each of the speech-language
pathology and audiology training programs in Canada who is
felt to be the best all-round future professional. Considerations
include grade point average, clinical ratings, peer support,
and leadership qualities. These students are nominated by
you and final selection is made by your Faculty Advisor. Click

receive a complimentary CASLPA conference registration.
Isabel Richard Student Paper Award - Deadline December

Recognizes the best papers written by CASLPA student members
on a specific topic related to the professions. Student members
in an S-LP or audiology program and doctoral student members
in any program are eligible. Essays shall be 1,000-1,500 words
for students below the doctoral level and 1,500-2,500 words
for doctoral level students. Submissions must be accompanied
by a standard nomination form completed by the applicant.
Papers will be judged on both style and content. Applicants
may self-nominate for this award. A nominator signature is
not required. Specific style and content criteria and topic
choices are listed on the award application forms. There are
separate application forms for doctoral level and below doctoral
level students.

1. Interprofessional collaboration - meeting the challenge
2. Our professions in the year 2020 - what will they
look like?
3. End of life (EOL) decisions and implications for
clinical practice
