Noise in the Classroom Press Conference Coverage

CASLPA held a press conference on Parliament Hill October 1 that alerted the public to the fact that a noisy classroom can affect a child's ability to learn as well as impact on teacher's vocal health.

The media stood up and took notice! The press conference was captured by reporters and camera crews from CTV NewsNet, CBC Radio Canada, CPAC, CFRB Toronto, CanWest news and CHUM TV.

CASLPA spokespersons were interviewed by 25 media outlets and our message went on CP newswire and the CanWest news service generating an amazing 230 media segments/articles (79 radio, 73 TV, 62 print and 16 web) with a total audience reach of 31,463,920!

Participating media outlets are listed below. We made the pages of every major Canadian daily newspaper including front page of La Presse and were featured in a 2:45 minute segment on the CTV national news at 11:00 p.m. with Lloyd Robertson.

Our coverage extended into 70 communities (plus the regional/national shows and web) delivering our message to Canadians in every province and one territory.
