Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) The contents of articles,

Pathologists and Audiologists.
The Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and
Audiologists (CASLPA) is the recognized national professional
association of speech-language pathologists and audiologists
in Canada. The Association was founded in 1964 and incorporated
under federal charter in 1975. The Association is committed
to fostering the highest quality of service to communicatively
impaired individuals and their families. One means through which
the Association achieves this goal is the advancement of knowledge
related to human communication and its disorders. The Association
began its periodical publications program in 1973.
The purpose of the Journal is to disseminate contemporary
knowledge pertaining to human communication and related disorders.
CJSLPA publishes both applied and basic research, reports of
clinical and laboratory inquiry, as well as educational articles
related to normal and disordered speech, language and hearing
in all age groups. Classes of manuscripts suitable for publication
consideration in CJSLPA include tutorials; traditional research
or review articles; clinical, field and brief reports; research
notes and letters to the editor (see Information
to Contributors). CJSLPA seeks to publish articles that
reflect the broad range of interests in speech-language pathology
and audiology, speech sciences, hearing science and related
professions. The Journal also publishes book reviews, as well
as independent reviews of commercially available clinical materials
and resources. CJSLPA is published four times yearly in one
volume.
The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
is supported by a grant in Aid to Scholarly Journals, provided
by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council
(grant # 651-2008-0062), for the period January 2009 to December
2011.
