Opening
Ceremony, Plenary and Reception -

Please join us as we kick off the conference
with our opening ceremony, plenary speaker and reception.
Our plenary speaker is Cecil Haire, reporter and broadcast
journalist in St. John's. Cecil will discuss his struggles
with stuttering as a child, into adolescence, and adulthood,
and how he has overcome the challenge of dsyfluency to fulfill
his lifelong desire to become a successful journalist. Cecil
is also the father of a teenage daughter diagnosed with
a learning disability. He will discuss the journey that
his family has experienced in supporting their daughter's
growth both academically and socially. After the opening
ceremony, a reception will be held in the exhibitors hall
where you can connect with friends and colleagues and visit
with exhibiting companies.

luncheon is your opportunity to provide input into the workings
of the association.

Come and meet the new Journal editor Elizabeth
Fitzpatrick. Offering valuable tips for contributors, the
session will include an overview of the submission and review
process. Bring your ideas for a paper or study and discuss
the best way to get it published. Light refreshments will
be provided. Please indicate your attendance on the registration
form.
President's Reception,
and Awards Banquet and Ceremony -
Friday, May 11, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Conference delegates are invited to the
president's reception and the awards banquet and ceremony.
The president's reception is held immediately prior to the
awards banquet and ceremony. This is a great opportunity
to meet new colleagues and connect with long time friends.
We then honour the best and brightest of the professions
at our awards banquet and ceremony. Make sure you plan to
join us!
