Tracey
Robertson, BA, MSLP(C)
Tracey is the CASLPA board member representing
Yellowknife, Nunavut and Yukon Territories. She has over 15
years experience working in the North. She is interested in
resources and technologies that help improve services to isolated
communities.
Tracey received her Bachelor of Arts degree
from the University of Manitoba in 1990 with a major in sociology
and a minor in history. She received her Masters of Speech
Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 1994.
Tracey works for Stanton Territorial Hospital, which is based
in Yellowknife, NT. While in Yellowknife, she provides assessment
and diagnostic services to preschoolers and adults. As a part
of her job, Tracey travels to communities within the Northwest
Territories and Nunavut where she provides services through
the health centers and schools.
In 2007, Tracey spent a year in Cold Lake, Alberta,
working in the area of community health with a preschool focus.
While in Cold Lake, she had the opportunity to work on their
regional Fetal Alcohol Assessment Team.
She volunteers as a coach with the Northwest
Territories Special Olympics and recently had an opportunity
to work with an athlete who attended the Special Olympics
World Games in Shanghai, China.
