Sean Kinden, CASLPA Board of Directors
Newfoundland and Labrador Representative

Sean Kinden, MA, Aud.(C)
Sean is the CASLPA board member for Newfoundland
and Labrador. He has worked as an audiologist for over 13
years and takes a fairly relaxed approach to his two very
busy jobs.
Sean graduated from Acadia University in 1990
with a degree in education and a degree in psychology. He
received his Masters degree in audiology from Indiana University
in 1995. Since that time he has worked predominantly in healthcare
at two different hospitals seeing all populations. During
the last few years, Sean spent time consulting for different
agencies. This has taken a larger place in his work and is
now his primary area of employment.
Prior to becoming a CASLPA representative, Sean
was involved with his provincial executive for several years
and is a past president of NLASLPA. Sean has been on numerous
provincial committees and currently sits on the CASLPA ethics
and support personnel committees. Sean is also a sports fan
and, as such, is a past president of his local curling club
where he spent several years on the executive.
Sean feels that CASLPA appears to have turned
a corner with regard to the professions of speech-language
pathology and audiology, and during his tenure he hopes to
continue to promote and advance audiology, speech-language
pathology and support personnel to all Canadians, as well
to attempt to afford everyone the opportunity to see just
how much CASLPA does for it members and the general public.
