Nadine Jacob is the CASLPA board member representing
New Brunswick. She is an audiologist with eight years of experience.
Nadine believes that being involved in her professional organizations
is important, and she has been involved on several committees,
including the executive committee, of her provincial association
prior to serving on the CASLPA Board.
Nadine graduated from Mount Allison University
with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology in 1998 and from
Dalhousie University in 2001 with a Master of Science in Human
Communication Disorders. In 2002 she was presented with the
American Academy of Audiology (AAA) Student Research Forum
Award. She also received her CASLPA certification in 2002.
Ms. Jacob has worked full-time in hospital settings
since 2001. She currently works at the Moncton Hospital and
also provides contractual audiology services in Nova Scotia
for a private hearing clinic. She has worked with all age
groups and has special interests in the areas of electrophysiology
and pediatric aural rehabilitation.
Aside from her involvement with CASLPA, she
continues to be involved on several committees with the New
Brunswick Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and
Audiologists (NBASLPA) and with the Canadian Academy of Audiology
(CAA). Nadine also enjoys being involved in her community
and currently serves on the board of Fondation Louis-J.-Robichaud,
a scholarship organization for graduates of her former high
school.
Ms. Jacob is very enthusiastic about serving
on the CASLPA Board of Directors as the Association strives
to meet the goals of the new strategic plan for 2009-2011.
She also plans to continue her work with the CASLPA Scholarship
Committee during her term.
