Nadine Jacob, CASLPA Board of Directors
New Brunswick Representative

Nadine A. Jacob, M.Sc. Aud(C)

Nadine Jacob is the CASLPA board member representing New Brunswick. She is an audiologist with eight years of experience. Nadine believes that being involved in her professional organizations is important, and she has been involved on several committees, including the executive committee, of her provincial association prior to serving on the CASLPA Board.

Nadine graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology in 1998 and from Dalhousie University in 2001 with a Master of Science in Human Communication Disorders. In 2002 she was presented with the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) Student Research Forum Award. She also received her CASLPA certification in 2002.

Ms. Jacob has worked full-time in hospital settings since 2001. She currently works at the Moncton Hospital and also provides contractual audiology services in Nova Scotia for a private hearing clinic. She has worked with all age groups and has special interests in the areas of electrophysiology and pediatric aural rehabilitation.

Aside from her involvement with CASLPA, she continues to be involved on several committees with the New Brunswick Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NBASLPA) and with the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA). Nadine also enjoys being involved in her community and currently serves on the board of Fondation Louis-J.-Robichaud, a scholarship organization for graduates of her former high school.

Ms. Jacob is very enthusiastic about serving on the CASLPA Board of Directors as the Association strives to meet the goals of the new strategic plan for 2009-2011. She also plans to continue her work with the CASLPA Scholarship Committee during her term.
