Procedures for Arranging Non-Designated Sites
Candidates wishing to take the CASLPA clinical certification

must contact the CASLPA national office to determine eligibility
and the need for special arrangements.
It is to be stressed that such requests are only to be made
in exceptional circumstances. Some examples of previous
non-designated site requests that have been granted are:
Hong Kong; Brussels (Belgium); Florida (USA).
In order to write the examination at a non-designated site
the candidate must:
-
Determine their eligibility by contacting
national office.
-
Contact Student Services (or equivalent)
at the university which she/he is attending or in a central
location and request that arrangements be made on her/his
behalf to take the examination at the university. The
invigilator must be CASLPA certified or be another professional
in a position of authority and approved by CASLPA.
-
Student Services shall contact the
CASLPA national office to request permission, on behalf
of the candidate, to invigilate the examination.
- National office shall make arrangements, with the examination
centre in Alberta, to ensure that mailings, invigilation
procedures, etc., are followed and confidentiality agreements
signed.
These arrangements can be made ONLY
with Student Services or equivalent. They cannot be
made with representatives of the department in which the candidate
is a student/employed.
Contact national office if you have any
questions regarding your eligibility to take the examination
or to meet other clinical certification or membership requirements.
