Place an Ad

Advertising in CASLPA publications and on our Web site is the best way to reach thousands of speech-language pathologists and audiologists.

Please ensure you carefully review the review the information below for all requirements, terms, conditions and restrictions prior to accessing the rate card and online advertising booking form.

Requests for advertising space will not be accepted without completion of the advertising booking form. You will be invoiced once the ad has been posted (with exception of mailing list rentals and clients outside Canada, which require pre-payment).

CASLPA advertising information, including rate card, is also available as a downloadable PDF.


Web Site

Career advertisements and corporate web banners are posted for 60 days. Book web ads in combination with publication ads and receive a reduced rate. Advertisements are posted within two business days. Newly advertised carrer ads are also posted on the CASLPA Twitter and Facebook feeds.

Career Ads:

  • The CASLPA Careers section receives an average of 9,000 hits per month.
  • No word limit
  • Posted with your logo
  • Option to provide pre-desigend, placement-ready artwork
    (GIF image 500 x 700 pixels or 6” width x 9” height)

Corporate banner ads: Promote your commercial products or services, facility or recruitment agency.

  • Banners are placed on scrolling news bar and are visible on every page of the website - receiving an average of 5,000 views per day
  • Includes link to your commercial URL
  • Animated ads are permitted

    Options:
    Regular banner ad: A GIF image measuring 144 x 72 pixels, or 2” width x 1” height.
    Premium banner ad: A GIF image measuring 144 x 216 pixels, or 2” width x 3” height.

Communiqué

CASLPA’s quarterly online newsletter facilitates the exchange of information between members of CASLPA, the national office, provincial associations and other interest groups.

  • Contains articles of professional and clinical interest and association news.
  • Published electronically four times per year – January, April, July and October.
  • Circulation of more than 6,000. Issued to all members and other contacts (university programs, provincial associations, etc) via email.
  • Published in both English and French.
  • Career and commercial ads accepted: ¼ page, ½ page and full page.
  • Full-page ads may embed video for no additional cost.

Artwork Requirements:

  • Ads should be professionally designed/graphically appealing.
  • Please submit digital files, to size with all images and fonts embedded (preference in the following order - PDF, InDesign, Photoshop, EPS, or Microsoft Word text files).
  • If submitting text using logo, please attach logo as separate JPG file.
  • If submitting text fi les, we ask that you ensure your text conforms to the suggested word counts identified on the rate card. If it does not, we reserve the right to edit accordingly for space.

Journal

The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA) is CASLPA’s academic journal. The journal is committed to advancing knowledge of human communication and its disorders.

  • CJSLPA publishes clinical, educational and research articles; clinical practice and technical information, reviews of publications and clinical materials.
  • Published electronically four times per year - March, June, September and December.
  • Circulation of more than 6,000. Issued to all members and other contacts (university programs, provincial associations, etc.) via email.
  • Full-page ads only (8 ¼” x 10 ¾ ”).
  • Posted on a publicly accessible, searchable archive.

Communicator E-newsletter Advertising

Place your logo or a banner ad with links to your URL in our monthly bilingual electronic newsletter, Communicator.

  • Contains S-LP and audiology news as well as association updates.
  • Delivered by e-mail to over 6,000 CASLPA members.
  • Posted on the members-only section of CASLPA’s website.

Artwork Requirements: A GIF image measuring 288 x 72 pixels, or 4” width x 1” height.

Mailing List Rental

You may choose to undertake your own mailing by renting our mailing list.

This option is available for promotion of commercial products and services or events, not career-recruitment or fundraising efforts.

  • Membership database records provided for one-time use only.
  • List supplied by email in Microsoft Excel format
  • You may request customization of your list by profession, province, language or area of interest.
  • Members may opt out of this mailing list so size of list varies - approximately 3,400 records.
  • You must submit a sample of your material for approval, sign a confi dentiality agreement and provide pre-payment before the list is released.
  • Please allow two weeks for the approval process.

Conference Advertising and Sponsorship

Complete advertising and sponorship information. You may choose to advertise in the printed conference program or submit your own insert for the delegate bag - both distributed to all delegates (approximately 500). This year’s conference will be held in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.


General Advertising Policies

  • We accept career ads for positions requiring a speech-language pathologist, audiologist or supportive personnel. Organizations placing ads for supportive personnel must guarantee that the position is supervised by a speech-language pathologist or audiologist.

  • CASLPA reserves the right to revise, edit or reject any ad if the advertisement, organization, product or service is not compatible with CASLPA’s mission, vision, values, philosophy or standards.

  • Acceptance of an ad does not in any way constitute CASLPA’s endorsement of the product/service or company.

  • Acceptance of an advertisement does not automatically guarantee future placements. (Ads are reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

  • Volume discounts are negotiated on an individual basis and must be pre-paid.

  • We do not pay agency commissions. Advertising agencies and their clients are jointly and severally responsible for payment of invoices.

  • No refunds will be provided for ads cancelled after layout has already been completed or if it is past the booking deadline (unless a replacement advertiser can be secured).

  • There will be no refund/credit for website ads pulled after they have been posted.

  • Approved terminology – Speech-language pathologist (pathology) should be written as such with a hyphen. S-LP should be capitalized, with a hyphen.
