Web Site www.caslpa.ca

The CASLPA website is an extensive site visited regularly by audiologists, speech-language pathologists and supportive personnel (both members and non-members) from across the country and around the world. Ads are posted for a 60-day period (may be pulled earlier at your request). Book web ads in combination with publication ads and receive a reduced rate. Postings are usually up within two business days. Newly advertised job openings are also posted on the CASLPA and Twitter and Facebook feeds.

Career Ads: Our careers section receives more than 6,000 hits per month. Text for career ads must be provided by email. Faxed text is not accepted. There is no word limit and ads may be posted with colour logos. If you are providing logos, attach them as separate files in GIF or JPG, rather than embedded in your file. You may also provide pre-designed, placement ready artwork in the form of a GIF image 500 x 700 pixels or 6" width (max) x 9" height.

Corporate banner ads: Promote your commercial products or services, facility or recruitment agency. A graphic (GIF) image measuring 144 x 72 pixels, or 2" width (max) x 1" height with a link to your commercial URL, is placed on the scrolling news bar that appears on every website page (average 10,000 page views per day). Animated images are permitted.

Communiqué

CASLPA's official bilingual newsletter facilitates the exchange of information between members of CASLPA, the national office, provincial associations and other interest groups. Contains articles of professional and clinical interest and association news. Published electronically in full colour four times per year - January, April, July and October. Circulation of 5,500, issued to all members and other contacts (university programs, provincial associations, etc) via email. Career and commercial ads accepted. ¼ page, ½ page and full page.

Artwork Requirements: Submission of digital files preferred, print ready, to size with all images and fonts embedded (preference in the following order - PDF, InDesign, PhotoShop, EPS, or Microsoft Word text files). If submitting text only using logos, please attach them as separate JPG files. If submitting text files, we ask that you ensure your text conforms to the suggested word counts identified on the rate card. If it does not, we reserve the right to edit accordingly for space.

Journal

The Canadian Journal of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (CJSLPA) is the official academic/scientific journal of CASLPA. The Journal is committed to advancing knowledge of human communication and its disorders. CJSLPA publishes clinical, educational and research articles; clinical practice and technical information, reviews of publications and clinical materials. Same distribution method and circulation as Communiqué plus posted on a publichly accessible searchable archive. Published four times per year - March, June, September and December. Full-page colour ads only (8 ¼" x 10 ¾ ") Ads must be professionally designed/graphically appealing. See Communiqué above for artwork requirements.

E-newsletter Advertising/Sponsorship

Place your logo and a banner ad with links to your URL in a monthly bilingual issue of our electronic newsletter CommunE-cate. This publication contains association news and updates and is delivered by e-mail to 5,400 CASLPA members and posted on the CASLPA website. Get a 4" wide x 1" high (288 x 72 pixel) banner ad (may be animated) on our introductory splash page as well as posted on the full issue of the newsletter. Individual monthly placements are available as well as exclusive rights to all 12 issues.

Mailing List Rental

You may also choose to undertake your own mailings by renting our mailing list. This option is available for promotion of commercial products and services or events, not career recruitment or fundraising efforts. Membership database records are provided for one time usage only and supplied by email in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format, sorted alphabetically. Further formatting is your own responsibility. You may request customization of your list by profession, province, language or area of interest. Please note that members can opt to be removed from this mailing list so size of database we can provide varies - approximately 3,100 records in the full list. You are required to submit a sample of your material for approval, sign a confidentiality agreement and provide pre-payment before the list will be released to you. Allow two weeks for the approval process. Once your booking form is submitted with a sample of your material, we will notify you of the total charge for your approval to proceed. Minimum charge of $50 applies.

Conference Advertising

Advertising space is also available in the on-site printed conference program distributed to all conference delegates (approximately 600) in the spring. This year's conference is being held in Monteal, Quebec. Space is limited so don't delay. Deadline is March 1, 2010. For taking advantage of this opportunity, if you also book a regular print or corporate web banner ad at the same time, you will receive a $100 discount on that booking. An opportunity also exists to have inserts (product brochures, etc.) put in the conference bags provided to all delegates. You are responsible for printing and shipping material direct to the conference site. You will be advised of exact quantities and shipping instructions.

Text/Artwork Requirements: Grayscale or colour ads. Ads must be graphically appealing/professionally designed. Submit electronic print-ready PDF files, actual size with fonts and images embedded. Full page (8 ¼" x 10 ¾") or half page horizontal (8 ¼" wide x 5" long). Priority cover positions are given to colour ads. Black and white covers may be booked but are not guaranteed position. If colour cover ads are booked, black and white will be bumped inside and your fee will be adjusted accordingly.

Special BONUS: All print and web ads booked in the months of March
and April are also posted on the career bulletin board at the
annual CASLPA conference in May.
